James Matthew Green is an award-winning British Director and Director of Photography known for creating visually striking, story-driven films across television, music, brand and commercial sectors.
Beginning his career in photography before moving into motion, James developed a distinctive cinematic style shaped by a deep understanding of light, atmosphere and narrative. His work blends technical precision with emotional impact, crafting films that feel immersive, purposeful and visually memorable.
Through his production company, Empire Minds, James has directed and shot projects for global brands, cultural institutions and high-profile music artists, working across commercial campaigns, broadcast content, live performance capture and narrative-led branded films.
