James Matthew Green is a British Director of Photography and Film Director working across broadcast television, commercials and branded content.

His television credits include Traitors Uncloaked for BBC One and BBC Two across five series, the official Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man visualised podcast for Netflix, and Rivals for Disney+. On the commercial side he has shot for Hennessy, Mazda, Coca-Cola, Ciroc, Levi's, LEGO, Chopard and Patek Philippe among others.

Beyond the camera, James works with brands and marketing teams as a Creative Director and Video Strategist. He helps organisations understand what their content needs to achieve before a camera is switched on, building the strategic brief alongside the creative one, and ensuring there is a clear line between the decisions made in production and the outcomes expected in market.

This side of his work has grown from a simple observation: most brands commission video without a coherent strategy behind it. The film looks good. The results are hard to measure. The brief for the next project starts from scratch. James works with clients to break that cycle and develops content architectures, platform strategies and campaign frameworks that make every production decision purposeful, and every piece of content accountable to something real.

He is available for DP and Directing engagements worldwide, and takes on a small number of strategic partnerships each year with brands and businesses looking to build a long-term content approach rather than commission in isolation.
